Ten years ago, six of us who attended the same English conversation school went together to see the Kurama Fire Festival, and that night Ms. Hasegawa disappeared. We decided to go to the fire festival together for the first time in ten years because none of us could forget her. As the night falls with the rain, each of them begins to recount the strange events they encountered on their travels. Onomichi, Okuhida, Tsugaru, Tenryukyo. All of us had seen a series of paintings called "Night Travels" by Michio Kishida, a copperplate artist, along the way. The paintings reminded us of an eternal night. Will we ever see Mr. Hasegawa again? A ghost story, coming-of-age story, and fantasy, this is a story unlike any other. A double nominee for the Naoki Award and the Honya Taisho Award.
